Trousseau Destination : Chhabra, Karol Bagh

I was introduced to this shop by my mother-in-law when we went trousseau shopping. We went there again recently to get my Karva chauth Saree (although I am wearing my wedding lehenga on Karva chauth....so super excited to wear my lehenga again!! hope it fits!)

Both the times I saw really nice lehenga's and really cheap! (i.e. cheap in terms of bridal wear)

A bride was trying this on, it doesnt really show much in the picture but it was super pretty. She is getting it made in tomato red for her wedding day.

The price of the Lehenga is Rs. 48,000 and I have seen similar ones selling at Rs. 70,000/- ! Infact the store owner claims people take it from him on wholesale and add their own MRP and sell at higher price in fancier showrooms.

He needs atleast a month or more to make the lehenga, and it can be customized in any way. Lehenga available are both traditional as well as modern styles, leaning a bit more on the traditional look.

What you wont find there are designer duplicates and cocktail lehenga's.

I have a lot of Saree's from this place, again cheaper than the normal market rate and yet similar quality.

Saw this originally in Net but got it re-made in Georgette.

This is in heavy Kundan work, If you like swaroski and stones then you'll get a lot of stuff there.

My SIL saw this in blue or I think green, then got it re-made in red, It has pearl plus stones.

How to reach there?
It is NOT Chabra 555, its only Chhabra

Locate Zohra Emporium at Karol Bagh, cross the road and take the opposite lane in, Just before Roshan's take a right into the small lane, look toward your left near a jewelry shop there will be a sign pointing Chabra upstairs ( its on the 1st floor) or just ask someone once to reach Roshans.

  2. Saree definitely increases the beauty of a woman. Its really a very nice design. At the time of my wedding I have also bought many lehenga sarees and all are looking very different to normal saree.
