Here is what I am thinking for my cousin brother's engagement :
The same lehenga I wore for my own engagement except this time I will change the choli and get a navy blue brocade choli instead. So it will be 3 colors. What do you think??
As for the Tilak, I am thinking my Vidai wali Saree :
It's like super heavy!
and for the wedding I plan to wear my phero-wali-saree :
This makes sense since the cousin getting married is my Mama's son and this saree was gifted to me by my Mama! So win-win :D
I dunno about Mehendi and sangeet, etc. but would decide closer to the date!

The last one is a saree? Looked like a lehenga to me! :)
ReplyDeleteits a lehenga saree :)) but it was as heavy as my wedding lehenga :D
Deletenice .. my mama's daughter is getting married in Nov and I dont want to wear my wedding/sagan outfits. reason to sop more...
ReplyDeleteThinking of buying a new lehenga may be in blush pink or yellow :)

haha, yes certainly a reason to shop! Blush pink would look lovely on you!
DeleteAs these are all heavy attires, go for a simpler look for Mehendi and Sangeet (irrespective of the fact that you are expected to look like a newly wed!) You obviously would want to dance and enjoy your time and not managing your heavy saree/lehenga. For the engagement lehenga, even a blue velvet choli would look nice. It will look quite royal.

ya agree with you for Mehendi and sangeet , I am planning to wear my own designs for them, they are not very heavy and have a LOT of gera, so super fun to dance in :D
DeleteThe engagement is in Oct. not sure if velvet would work :/ I have got a brocade fabric so far.
I think it would be great to wear one of your own light weight lehengas for mehendi/sangeet? Maybe the neon green/ orange one? If its too light you, may be you can dress it up with a heavier chunni?
ReplyDeleteWould love to see photos of your outfits, so please do a post on them :)
Dia
YES! You read my mind, that's exactly what I was thinking too :D
DeleteWill pakka post the pics!
Even a green raw silk top would look beautiful with d first lehenga. . Though blue is in trend now. .
ReplyDeleteAnd y don't u wear your own design on sangeet or mehendi. .
Yes green would also look nice and different with the engagement lehenga.....ooh you got me thinking......I have another wedding coming up in the family (one of my cousin sister-in-law) I think I might change the choli to green for that....Thank you! You have given me a brilliant idea :D I was so stuck on Blue that I didn't even consider other options!
