Crazy Indian REAL Bride : Pallavi

Girl meets boy, Boy ignores Girl, Girl gets frustrated, Boy argues his way into her heart, sounds like a Bollywood movie, no?!

As told by Rohan,
(The person in charge to capture their memories.)

So, Who are they and Whats their Story??

Pallavi looking forward to a new chapter in her life left for Bangalore, her first job. Accenture 'college to corporate' training was the time when she met new people, made great friends and was having an awesome time. This is where she met Ashish- A smart, witty and intelligent guy.

They both were opinionated, had myriad ideas and thoughts and debated on anything and everything. She became defensive around him and he interestingly ignored her, between those rifts of thoughts, they became great friends. (Yes, because that's how it works :P )

Inspiration : Real Girl's Style File

There are two types of people that I stalk on facebook.

1. The ones that irritate the hell out of me! They update every single day, their profile picture switches before you even get a chance to see the last one. Oh and they check in at every single place they visit(!) as if people on their friend list are just dying to know where they have been *rolling eyes*

So why do I still stalk them? well because these are the same people about which everyone else bitches about and I just like to be involved in a conversation.

Oh these are the same people who would take a selfie within a minute of meeting you and update it on Fb with the caption "Having sooo much fun with my bff [tag you] at [insert check in]" while completely ignoring you on the face.

2. The second type of people I stalk are people I genuinely want to see updates from, apart from the usual group of friends and family, there are a few people I have hardly talked to in life but I do like to follow their profile because either they are doing really good at work, or they travel to amazing places, or they have a blog or they have an amazing sense of style.

If you follow us on Facebook then you would have known this is coming up! Stay updated and connected on https://www.facebook.com/crazyindianwedding

Shifa falls into this last category. I find her sense of style really nice and would love to share it with you lot :) I asked her if I could and she agreed :)

I know what you did Last Holi....Wedding Files : Ankita

Hello lovely ladies, I am back to continue my quirky story from where I left off. But before I go there, a very happy holi to all of you! Hope colours of joy, prosperity and lots of laughter fill all your lives :-)
Last year on holi, me and my then boyfriend were discussing our future plans (only after we had sneaked away from friends to snuggle and play "boyfriend-girlfriend holi", but don't tell anyone :D).

We were a week away from our graduation, and with our jobs being in different cities and him going to live with his parents (same city as his job), we did not know when we would meet again. This disturbed both of us, and we were anxious discussing what we should do. Was it too soon to drop the bomb at home? Or would it be too late if parents started looking for matches for us? We were after all done with all the studying there was to do, and we were "the proper age" too.

Hi, I am New here!

Hi!

So did you just land on Crazy Indian Wedding ?! We are excited to see you here, and hope to see more of you in the future!

I know it can get quite confusing and overwhelming when you first visit a blog. So here are few points and posts that you can read to get yourself familiar :

A little about me :
Hi, I am Roli Gaur Vashisht aka Crazy Indian Bride.

PS : I am also a designer, See my label here

I started this blog on 25th June, 2012; 5 months before my wedding (well 5 months minus 1 day). The blog was just meant as an outlet for all the wedding information that was bursting out of my head and as a diary for me to keep as a memory of my wedding days.

Even though I tied the knot on 24th November, 2012 the blog continues to help other bride-to-be and ease in the new bride/bahu into her new home.

Enough about me, now Get to know the Blog :

1. My first Post : I feel whenever you need to find out a bloggers journey its best to start at the very beginning.

Manish Arora's Real Bride

Remember when I wrote about the Manish Arora bride in August. See here : http://goo.gl/RzhUzf

He showed his first Bridal collection in PCJ Delhi Couture Week 2013, and it was pretty stunning too. Although it did leave me wondering if any bride would be 'quirky' enough to pull Manish Arora off.

I mean, look at the colors and psychedelic embroidery, as much as I would have loved to wear Manish Arora I don't think I would be so brave (or rich) to wear his stunning deigns.

However I found one bride who wore a Manish Arora to her Mehendi : Aparna Chandra

Breaking Norms..

I love how the new Tanishq and the Azva ads shows a new image of the bride, the real image of the bride.

I absolutely love the chubby cheeks of the Azva bride.

Wedding File 3 : Tilak

We were late! Very late!

Everything was in line, we were ready and perfectly scheduled. There was a tiny pooja in the morning something we thought would be over within an hour max.

How wrong we were....

Apparently pooja of the lagan patrika is suppose to be VERY important and it didn't help that the panditji was a very senior one and he wouldn't take any shortcut!

The pooja put our schedule back an hour. My makeup artist had to wait and when I finally got time to get ready for the evening her son's school called

"he has been in a fight.......hurt his head....hospital.....6 stitches!"

That is all I heard, That is all I needed to hear!

Although I was ofcourse worried about that 12 year old boy but the thought of having to manage on my own for such an event made me tremble.

While my makeup artist tried to sort things out, my lehengha was being draped and OMG such a heavy lehenga it was! Somehow we tied it but it wasn't as perfect as the salesman at Frontier tied it.

Things do have a way of sorting themselves out in the end....

The groom side was late as well so we actually arrived a couple of minutes before them!

My makeup artist (hats off to her) after a glass of cold water calmed down, got her father to take care of her son. Did my makeup perfectly made sure I was completely happy with my drape before she left.

That doesn't mean bloopers of the day ended there, everyone did forget me in the car....

 Lehenga :

Lehenga was from Frontier Bazaar, Karol Bagh. In the range of 70k on sale, otherwise its around 90k.

The major challenge with this lehenga was that it had to follow the one I wore at my engagement and I would be wearing my bridal one just 2 days after this. So it had to be better than engagement and not similar to the bridal one. It had to be noticeable in a big gathering, the event was so planned that we would be among guests instead of on the stage so it had to be striking even at a distance...people should be able to identify the bride after all....

 Makeup and Hair:

Hair for me was not perfect, it was too high. However my makeup artist justified that she had to for the maata patti...well since everyone else liked it I guess I am ok with it them, just I had a different picture in mind....

Dance :

My surprise dance performance was a shock for all! including the boy..haha...I don't really dance a lot in front of family and had secretly been practicing with my sisters. The look of the boys face was priceless!!

Songs : Chalka Chalka re, Dheemey Dheemey Gaon and chudi bhi zid pay aayi hai

And then the boy pulled me up for a song as well...

Jewelry :

Necklace and earring were from Tanishq, one of the last jewelry we picked and the only colored gold I liked.
Hair accessories were brought randomly while searching for latkans for my blouses.
Matta Patti from the only artificial jewellry shop I liked Om Sons at Lajpat.
Bangles from Babu churi wala at M block GK

Photography :

Anjalis Noida

We did considered a few candid photographers but somehow stuck to anjalis.....even if you don't have a famous candid photographer it doesn't mean you can't get 'candid' pictures!
