Day 2 : Nikasha at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Autumn Winter 2014

Nikasha is like the dream designer for girly girls.
Even the most tomboyish of all tomboys will look 'girly' in her clothes.
And they are worth buying, she is probably the only designer I would buy at full price. (and I know how much big designers inflate there prices), although from what I have heard Nikasha is quite affordable. (must check that fact)

This collection however wasn't one of her bridal ones, so we can get inspired for trousseau only.

WIFW 2014 has been disappointing so far in terms of bridal bling, and since this is A/W shouldn't designers do a bit of bridal wear owing to the fact that winters is the major wedding season...hmm...

Day 2 : Malini Ramani at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Autumn Winter 2014

A little too Boho for a traditional bride, but I would love to see a bride in this for the mehendi or cocktail atleast!
Comment below and let me know if you would wear any of this for your mehendi/cocktail??

Day 2 : Ashima & Leena at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Autumn Winter 2014

Some really pretty whites in this show!
Although white isn't really 'allowed' for a bride or a new bahu's, but these are so pretty!

Day 1 : Shantanu and Nikhil at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Autumn Winter 2014

A Corporate Bride?! Anyone?
Well since its Autum Winter 2014 and not really Bridal Week, we do find lack of typical Bridal wear, but none the less we can still find a lot of trousseau wear and options for the sisters and friends!

I really like this look, why don't boys get all dressed up for dinners?
I have never heard a boy shopping for his 'trousseau' , they should right?!

Day 1 : Vineet Bahl at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Autumn Winter 2014

Not really a 'Bridal' Collection, but some good pieces for the New Bahu...Have a look :

I think this would look more lovely if the model had been standing more 'femininely' , or maybe the photo angle is wrong or something.

Day 1 : Anupamaa Dayal at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Autumn Winter 2014

Anupamaa Dayal and bridal wear don't really go hand-to-hand, and while she did do a bridal collection a while back, I think this is a more 'Anupamaa' take on an Indian Bride.

She is known for her lovely colors and we could certainly expect that on the ramp. While I did miss her prints a bit, I love how fresh this collection looks and its probably one of her more embellished collection so far. (not counting bronze begum, which was her typical traditional Indian bridal collection)

Here are a few pieces that you might want pick for your trousseau :

I love the Boho-bride look

Day 1 : Tarun Tahiliani at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Autumn Winter 2014

OOh man, I want that tummy! or rather I want that non-tummy!
Did she really give birth to a child ??

Once you look past all that the background looks amazing, hey how about hanging fairy lights on top to your wedding aisle?!
Anyways back to the show, although its very hard to get your eyes off Shilpa Shetty and concentrate on just the garments, I don't think a lot of girls can carry that lehenga/drape the way she is able to and I must commend Tarun Tahiliani on the way its draped, wow...come to think of it most of his collection is made up of very nicely draped garments.
Check out the pants!

Inspiration : Real Girl's Style File

There are two types of people that I stalk on facebook.

1. The ones that irritate the hell out of me! They update every single day, their profile picture switches before you even get a chance to see the last one. Oh and they check in at every single place they visit(!) as if people on their friend list are just dying to know where they have been *rolling eyes*

So why do I still stalk them? well because these are the same people about which everyone else bitches about and I just like to be involved in a conversation.

Oh these are the same people who would take a selfie within a minute of meeting you and update it on Fb with the caption "Having sooo much fun with my bff [tag you] at [insert check in]" while completely ignoring you on the face.

2. The second type of people I stalk are people I genuinely want to see updates from, apart from the usual group of friends and family, there are a few people I have hardly talked to in life but I do like to follow their profile because either they are doing really good at work, or they travel to amazing places, or they have a blog or they have an amazing sense of style.

If you follow us on Facebook then you would have known this is coming up! Stay updated and connected on https://www.facebook.com/crazyindianwedding

Shifa falls into this last category. I find her sense of style really nice and would love to share it with you lot :) I asked her if I could and she agreed :)

What happens after that? After the Happily Ever After..

A couple of you have asked me to write a post on the day after, in Sasural and while I pointed out I did write about the Next Day I assume you meant how a normal day is after the wedding in your new home. If your living on your own then your normal day would be anything you want it to be, but if you are living with your in-laws then things might not be the same as always.

DAY 3 as a Mrs. ( I am still not used to Mrs.)

9:00 am : Oh shit!

I over slept! which is quite obvious since I had been surviving on like 2-3 hours of sleep since the last couple of days.

I rush to take a bath and change into appropriate new bahu clothes.

I know what you did Last Holi....Wedding Files : Ankita

Hello lovely ladies, I am back to continue my quirky story from where I left off. But before I go there, a very happy holi to all of you! Hope colours of joy, prosperity and lots of laughter fill all your lives :-)
Last year on holi, me and my then boyfriend were discussing our future plans (only after we had sneaked away from friends to snuggle and play "boyfriend-girlfriend holi", but don't tell anyone :D).

We were a week away from our graduation, and with our jobs being in different cities and him going to live with his parents (same city as his job), we did not know when we would meet again. This disturbed both of us, and we were anxious discussing what we should do. Was it too soon to drop the bomb at home? Or would it be too late if parents started looking for matches for us? We were after all done with all the studying there was to do, and we were "the proper age" too.

Tradition #2 : What the Bhabhi does??

What does a Bhabhi have to do at the wedding?? apart from helping in the shopping process that is.

1. Groom side aka Devar ki shadi

Apply kajal to devar at Sera Bandi, just before the groom gets on the horse.

I am trying to find these fancy 'surma' bottles for my devar's wedding!
No, there is no wedding in the family yet but I like to pre-plan ;D
