STORE REVIEW : Chandni Chowk, Sudhir Bhai

Sudhir Bhai has certainly been a favorite haunt of Brides-to-be in Delhi for many years. Somehow I never got around to visiting it during my wedding shopping, so when it was my brother's turn to tie the knot I decided that atleast one of my dress would be from Chandni Chowk!

I went on a weekday around lunch time, so thankfully there wasn't much crowd, but as the time progressed it feels as if ever single bride in town has arrived at Sudhir Bhai. Its always better to go on a weekday and even better still as early as possible. While the staff is polite and Sudhir Bhai himself tries to accommodate everyone, the sheer amount of number makes it impossible to wait on everyone.

Infact I once went on a Saturday around 2, and we had to leave empty handed without even seeing one inch of anything after waiting for 45min, that is the amount of traffic Sudhir Bhai gets!

But once you have the undivided attention of a Salesman the number of possibilities he brings in front of you are so many! Now when I went in I had restrictions :

Light Lehenga's for Mehendi / Sangeet. ( DIY? #think )

Still need to figure out what I want to wear for Mehendi, not sure if it should be a full length or a knee length lehenga, but I am pretty sure I want something light...
looking for ideas, will probably end up making it on my own (NIFT degree has to count, sometime!).....still finding inspiration!

Loved these ones from Nikasha

absolutely in love wid this one!

This is from the designers shoot

Similar ones

<3 Anita dongre's design <3

Another from Nikasha's , dont like the color combo that much though.
PS : See those little tassels ( tiny things at the end of the chunni) thats a signature look of Nikasha. ( Little fashion gyaan for you :P )
Sabyasachi's,  lehengha saree...hmmm must think this style over
PS : If you need advice on how to do a DIY light lehenga , feel free to ask, will give you advice....if i end up making my own lehenga for mehendi then will do a whole DIY story :)

Lehenga Inspiration!!

An all picture post!

was the first lehenga I fell in love with!

Absolutely love this emb.

Great for Mehendi or sangeet

if you dont like the whole loaded look, something like this will make a great lehenga

see thoes flowers in the end, they are hand painted! have actually seen this one in real (from the actual designer) its very pretty. Can be done on your own if you have good painting skills

Miss Malini's wedding outfits ( love the blue one!)

find her lehenga very elegant

out of all the bollywood brides I find Genelia's lehenga the prettiest

Want this for mehendi!!

like the left one!

If you are not the 'red' bride, this combination looks real regal

love how her dupatta drapes and the shape of her blouse back

Tarun Tahiliani *sigh*

Not very sure if I like it personally, but there is something about the picture I like

perfect for sangeet!

dont like the middle one, but left and right are nice!

Have looads more, will put them up later. Although cant put up the best one I like :( , trying to get it made, if i decide against it will certainly give you a peek :P
